CERTIFICATE IN FLORISTRY (Level 3)
This programme is designed as an introduction to a career in Floristry.
It will provide the skills you need to create eye - catching arrangements
and provide excellent customer service. The principles of design, colour,
form, texture and space will be transferable to many creative and design
professions.
Certification: Students who successfully complete the
prescribed programme requirements will receive the Academy New Zealand
Certificate in Floristry – Level 3 and the National Certificate
in Floristry – Level 2.
Entry criteria: Open entry. Applicants should have
completed year 12 (6th form) as a guideline
Duration: 32 weeks, full-time
Fees: Domestic: $4750.00 tuition fee plus $150.00 course
related costs
International: $13,000.00NZD tuition fee plus $150.00 course related
costs

This course is offered twice a year, in February and July* at the Christchurch,
North Shore and Otahuhu campuses of the Academy.

CERTIFICATE IN FLORISTRY (Level 4)
This programme is designed for experienced junior to intermediate-level
florists with at least a year’s industry practice. It builds on
our Level 3 Certificate in Floristry so that graduates will achieve
the National Certificate in Floristry Level 4. Learn advanced skills
such as using range of base media and innovative design techniques.
Suitable for people who want to learn part-time to fit in with a busy
working schedule.
Certification: Students who successfully complete the
Advanced Floristry Skills compulsory section will achieve the Academy
New Zealand Certificate in Floristry - Level 4 and the National Certificate
in Floristry – Level 4.
Entry criteria: Academy New Zealand level 3 Floristry
qualification or the equivalent qualification from a New Zealand Polytechnic
or Institute of Technology.
International qualifications or extensive industry experience may be
considered at the manager’s discretion.
Duration: 400 hours (12 weeks full-time or 24 weeks
part-time)
Fees: Domestic: $1,950.00 tuition fees plus $150.00
