Gateway

Gateway opens a new pathway from school to the world of work. It’s a great opportunity to blend school study with workplace learning and experience. Learning is assessed in the workplace, counting towards national qualifications. It helps students build their skills for employment working in real workplaces on real tasks. For students it provides opportunities to try out potential careers and build links to Industry Training Organisations, Modern Apprenticeships and workplaces. For Employers gateway is a great opportunity to get extra part-time help, strengthen your links to Industry Training, to give something back to your community and maybe assess potential employees before you hire them.
Gateway Schools will equip their students for the workplace and provide the learning resources.
The Academy provides a service to Gateway Schools for workplace assessment in many industries but particularly Pharmacy and Floristry.
Please contact your local Academy Campus or email gateway@academy.ac.nz for further information.
