(Project Management and Leadership) - Level 6
Our Level 6 Business Diploma will give you a thorough grounding in the practical skills you need to manage business projects to an excellent standard, a skill that is highly sought-after by employers around the world.
You will be exposed to practical, real-world scenarios throughout your training so that when you graduate, you will be an effective leader with the skills needed to manage people and lead change within a business.
Project management one: learn how to plan a project and get the tools and skills you need to manage a project from planning to review. You will analyse the internal and external environment of a business and gain knowledge of the New Zealand business environment including the characteristics, history and attributes of New Zealand’s bi-cultural environment.
Project management two: you will learn how to complete a simple project from initiation through to review including all stages of project management. You will also apply knowledge from a range of business fields including operations, accounting, marketing and sales, human resources, and risk management.
Project management three: apply the project management skills you have learned to manage a complex project. You will be taught to develop and maintain good communication skills to ensure you graduate with the ability to maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.
People leadership: learn to manage employees and lead teams to achieve personal and business goals for the efficient and effective performance of a business. You will be given the skills to communicate with stakeholders in order to engage with them about the strategic vision of the business, and to maintain business relationships. You’ll also learn the key differences between management and leadership.
Change leadership: learn to lead and implement change within a business in order to improve business performance. This includes management compliance (both internal and external) and analysing the impact of compliance on business goals within a global context.
Project leadership: in this final module you will learn to apply the skills of project leadership to lead and manage projects and business initiatives. You will also be taught how to determine and develop strategic objectives in order to meet business needs.
You will be enrolled with the Project Management Institute of New Zealand (PMINZ) as a student member which will provide you with networking opportunities.

- Have an IELTS score of at least 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5, or equivalent and;
- A qualification at Level 5 (or above) or;
- Be able to demonstrate equivalent skills and knowledge
